The game starts in Cambodia. A young Lara, who is sixteen, is with her mentor Vernor Von Croy, are looking for an artifact called the iris, in Anklogt Wat.
The end of the adventure turns out all wrong, as mentor Vener von Croy gets traped and Lara escapes without him..

We follow Lara years later in Egypt, looking for the Amulet of Hours. Lara soon finds it, and soon realizes that she has unleashed the evil power of the Egyptian God Semerket, and sets off on an adventure all through Egypt.

This game is great, as there are more challenges in each level and being able to combine certain objects, to fin a way out of a tomb.

The level setouts are great and the graphics are very crisp.

The storyline is great as well, as it kept me playing, wanting to know what would happen.
I also learnt a few things about Egyptian Gods as well..

i thought this game was great, so I'm giving it a 9, for it's great gameplay and wicked puzzles.

It was very long game play ever. It was hard too. It was so long and hard puzzle, I simple hate it. But it was long so it is better than short games. the racing was ok but the manor would have been better. That von croy get little annoying, keep saying stuff that are not really funny unlike the legend. the vehicle wasn't going so fast and it also gets on my nerve. I like the different ammo for different gun but it get annoying sometimes because in middle of the battle, you run out of one kind, and you use the other kind? The idea was good but not when you play in the game, you really don't like this. Besides, you only be in the egypt and I like travel all over the world, one kind get me boring, after tomb raider 3, everything get worse.

Basically this game was very challenging and I needed a walkthrough to guide me through it. It was a very difficult game with all the puzzles to do and about only 4 months ago I found out how to swing forward on the rope (L1 or R1 or something). The game was harder than Tomb Raider 3 and its controls were very frustrating. Basically i was close to throwing the controller at the TV!!! It had some good moments but this game wasn't the best Tomb Raider. That is my opinion of the game and this game has many different reviews.

I LOVED this game because of the new training level, it was interesting seen what Lara looked like when she was young, its really scary compared to the other ones and the ending was really sad.

Can't say I have a great review for this game. It's simply way to hard and frustrating. They went a bit more to the puzzling of the game and now she comes back to the tombs where she first started which is great because it was more intresting in the tombs then going to Venice or Antarctica. Veterans od the series will love this game and it's hard puzzling. You will also get a chance to see young Lara but there nothing new tha we haven't seen before. Now she has an ability to climb from wall to wall in this game but nothing new. This game is just as hard as tomb raider 3 but not too hard from you throwing the controller at the tv.

This is my favorite Tomb Raider game along with Tomb Raider Adventures of Lara Croft. As gamespot wrote: "The Last Revelation is far and away the best of the sequels, mainly because Core has finally added some coherence to all aspects of the game." I agree ! And i love Egypt.

1999 sees the release of the then 'next generation' Tomb Raider. Just about everything has changed- right at the start of the game the scene is set with a flashback-style level that let's players control cutesy teen Lara to complete her training with Von Croy. The fast-paced story doesn't stop, and it's full of twists and turns, so much so that it might be necessary to play the game several times to fully understand the plot. In true Tomb Raider style the game is set primarily in Egypt which most fans will gladly welcome back, although it does offer little variation. The linked levels are a work of genius and show just how much effort has been put in the game. A drawback that some players may find is that this is one heck of a hard game, which results in frequent frustration- a walkthrough is near compulsory. Although this is a beautiful, atmospheric and must-play game, I suggest playing the prequels first.
