Tomb Raider 3 follows Lara looking for an artifact called the Indifana Stone in India. After finding the stone, Lara meets Dr. Willard, who signs her up to find four more pieces of the artifact. Lara heads of to locations Nevada, the South Pacific, London and Antarctica. Lara arrives in Antarctica, finding out that Dr. Willard is using the artifact for a very, very bad caause.
In my opinion, Tomb Raider 3 is probably my favorite Tomb Raider game. The locations, weapons, enemies and game play are all great, as well as it introducing new moves into the Tomb Raider series such as Monkey Swing, Crouch and Sprinting. There were also a variety of vehicles such as a Quad Bike in India and Nevada, a Speed Boat in Antarctica and a mine cart, also in Antarctica.
Over all, I think this game is simply amazing, because of it's endless puzzles, traps and action.
Finally beat the game. I must say that I now have a new favorite weapon from the games, and that would be the Desert Eagle (.50 caliber magnum... NICE!), and the outfits were amazing. In London, for instance... can you say "Smokin'!"? Beat the bonus level as well. All in all, fantastic!
I like the game but i think that weapon got worse. this is the one game that think back ground graphic wasn't so good. Level and gameplay itself also. I don't like the cinematic. In tomb raider 2, She talked with her gun drawn when enemy was treating. In 3, She put her gun away and start talking. the one guy in london cinematic got hit by the bell and fly over the building and it didn't made sense at all. India level was the worst. I like picking the levels after india. Rest of the level was okay. the vehicle look much weird but i like to have them in the manor and also timed it get me do it over again to beat my original time. There was too much cinematic. there is like 1 cinematic after you finish the level. it gets on my nerves sometimes. That guy from india was crazy. just laughing that sounded so fake. They need to improve on cinematic. There was too much stuff just lying on the ground so easy to find but also there is too much of them. manor was great. there is something to do other than assult course in tomb raider 2. you can get the key to the bike place, treasure place, which I thougt interesting. I like when you can finish the manor unlike the 2. It wasn't that long though, I wish it was. So I give it 7/10
THis must must have to be the best game I ever played. I Love the levels in London and Nevada the most because of the layout and outfits!
One things for sure, this is the coolest game.
Tomb Raider 3 would have to be my favorite Tomb Raider game from the series. The graphics were great and the weapon choice was awesome. I also liked the locations (India,Nevada,London,South Pacific and Antarctica.) The new moves were outstanding and the Croft Manor level was brilliant.
However, it did get very difficult at times, but I do like a challenge.
Overall I'd give this a 9/10. It is the best Tomb Raider game so far that I have played.
This game was one of my favourite Tomb Raider games because it had all the different countries and all the challenging bits in the game. The weapons were great and the puzzles were challenging. When you got an item it was hard to know where to put it.
But the new qualities gave the game a good kick. Monkey swinging and crawling were great abilities tomb raider should've had at the beginning in 1996 but late is better than never.
Overall this game was great and I give it 8/10!!!
Tomb Raider 3 had excellent qualities in it's own way. It introduced new elements to Lara like crawling and sprinting. But one problem with the game is it is very very very hard to beat without a strategy guide in hand to beat it. For example YOU found this key and now you had to go put it somewhere but you didn't know where to put it and it almost become frustrating. But she was further developed with more outfits and new vehicles to ride. I think if anybody likes a hard game Tomb Raider 3 is by far one of the hardest Tomb Raider Games. So I consider this game a great buy
It's 1998 and the third Tomb Raider Game sees it's release. However, it doesn't take much playing before it becomes noticeable that the gameplay has changed very little since Tomb Raider 2. There's a couple of few new abilities, which include sprinting, crawling and monkey swinging, which broaden the gameplay slightly. The world map selection screen seems like a great idea but it ultimately does very little to push things forwards. As for the plot, it is by far the most simple so far- collect several artifacts from around the world and take on a boss. But in all this is an improvement, it's a fantastic game and enough to keep the fans happy until Tomb Raider's true evolution in Last Revelation. Recommended.
